Film award statuette Asta
"Biografklub Danmark" ( The Danish Cinema Club) asked me in 2022 to create a film award statuette . The assignment was to represent a glamorous and strong modern woman, and should be at the same time a tribute to one of the greatest icons of Danish film history: the actress Asta Nielsen.
The sculpture was first made in clay and then casted in bronze (see below pictures of the process, photos: Per Arnesen).
The first Asta award was given to the documentarist Jesper Dalgaard at the "Bodil" ceremony award in March 2020 .
